Hello all!
Kittens are arriving all over the world, and we’re so excited to see you all getting them. Since some folks had similar questions in the comments, we want to take a moment to create an FAQ for easy reference! But first we’re going to talk about where shipping is at and what’s going on with that wily kitten, Cinders!
Email Issues!
We’re so sorry but in the previous update we made a typo in the email address! Please direct your questions to [email protected]. We’re doing our best to get to all the emails we did receive, so please be patient while we work through them all!
You can email us about shipping, rewards, or any other questions about where your package is! We’re happy to help you find your lost kittens and apologize that this typo has gotten in the way of doing that!
Where Are My Kittens?
Shipping is continuing to go well. Shipping everywhere is slower because of Covid, so thank you for your patience while you wait for your kittens. Here are some updates by region:
The USA
All packages are out and your kittens should be well on their way to you by now. If you have submitted a late order, we process orders weekly. This means your kittens will take a week to be boxed and sent out before arriving in your mailbox a couple weeks later.
International Orders
Australia & New Zealand have finished shipping! Expect your kittens soooon!
The EU orders have all shipped, including those with Cinders!
Canada orders are all out and have finished shipping. Canadian kittens soon!
Our partners shipping to the rest of the world have shipped out all of the orders. Your kittens should be arriving shortly!
Please be patient as you await your kittens. If you’re worried about your furballs because they should have arrived by now, never fear. We’re here to help make sure you get your paws on those kittens. If you haven't received your kittens by November 1st, email us at [email protected] and we’ll get things sorted out for you!
The Cinder Plushie’s Adventures
When arriving in the EU, poor Cinders had to be thoroughly tested to be sure she didn’t have any fleas or other safety concerns. This kept her held up for a while, but fortunately she passed all her tests and she’s being shipped out to everyone, eager to meet her new friends!

We’ve gotten a few questions regularly enough that it’s time for an FAQ! Read on below to see if your question has been answered...
Which card sleeves go with which cards?
The opaque sleeves with pictures are perfect for the ritual component deck and any other cards with a matching “Wizard Kittens” card back.
The clear sleeves are for the cards that have information on the back that you need to see, like the extra credit and chapter cards. If you use the opaque sleeves, you won’t be able to find these cards when you need them! We included a few extra clear sleeves in each pack, just to make sure you all have enough.
Do sleeved cards fit in the box?
Yep! Here are a few ways you can make the sleeved cards fit in your box:
Take out the plastic insert and use the baggie provided in the expansion for your tokens
Leave the insert in and allow for the lid to sit slightly above its fully-closed position
Keep your expansion and bonus pack cards in the Magical Monsters expansion box
What about the grey token and matching chapter cards?
The grey token is for the Kickstarter exclusive kittens—they aren’t color-keyed to one of the sets of cards the way that Baebae, Easa, Grumpkins, and Muffin, are, so the grey token is perfect for them. But those additional kitties do not change the player count, so we didn't include matching chapter cards. Instead, they replace one of the original four kittens at your table and you can use that kitten’s chapter cards.
If you want to add a fifth player, the expansion gives you Van Meowsing, an orange token, orange chapter cards, and more components so the game can stay balanced with an extra ritual circle in play.
We didn't want to confuse anyone about player count by putting more chapter cards in the deck than there are players. The game isn’t built for six players (yet!), so adding more chapter cards might cause more confusion!

International Shipping Update:
Our distributors have all of your kittens and have begun the process of shipping!
Australia & New Zealand have finished shipping. Expect your kittens soooon!
The EU orders have shipped with the exception of orders that included the Cinder Plushie. Seems that she caused some mischief with customs, but our printer, Panda, is currently working to resolve the hold-up and get you plushies ASAP.
Canada orders have had a few delays, but shipping has picked up now.
Our partners shipping to the rest of the world began last week, but please be patient as COVID has slowed down the post in many areas.
For those of you looking for international tracking numbers, if you did not fill out the form for advanced shipping, you will not receive a tracking number in backerkit. We will let everyone know as soon as all the international orders have been shipped!

The Magic Box! And International Shipping!

Hey there magical manxes! We’ve got a short update for you about our shipping and the Magic Box!
Magic Box vs Standard Box
We’ve had a few people say they ordered the Magic Box, but they received the Standard Box instead. We definitely want to make sure everyone gets the right box! But part of the issue seems to be expectations about what the Magic Box looks like.
For the Kickstarter, we used a graphic of the Magic Box that had darker colors in an attempt to highlight the foil and glow in the dark elements. Our intent, however, was always to have the two box covers use the same bright coloration—it’s just that the Magic Box also has gold foil and glow-in-the-dark elements!
So if you want to make sure you have the Magic Box—
1 - Check for gold foil stars on the cover! If you have shiny gold foil bits, then it’s almost certain you have the Magic Box! The standard box has no foil at all.
2 - Put your box under a lamp for a bit, and then turn out the lights and check it in the dark. If you can see the outline of the Wizard Kittens logo, Cinder’s eyes, and magical runes all glowing in the dark, then you’ve got the Magic Box!
We’re sorry about the confusion with the mock-up—moving forward, we now know what kinds of graphics best convey how the versions are different. Thanks for your patience and understanding!
If you have the wrong box, though, please be sure to email us at [email protected] and we’ll help get it sorted out! Mistakes happen, but we'll get everything fixed up for you as soon as we can.
Shipping Update: Domestic
Wizard Kittens is flying through the postal service! We’re getting close to finishing the shipping for all domestic pledges!
Don’t fret if you’re a domestic backer and you haven’t yet received your rewards—they will take some time to get to you, so even after we’re done shipping, we need to wait a bit before we can know if any copies are lost in the mail. We'll let you know as soon as we're done shipping, so you can let us know if your package doesn't arrive.

This week, we’re hosting professional demos of Wizard Kittens through Gen Con Online . Each game will be run for an hour via Discord and Tabletopia, so if you get caught by Professor Whispurr you may get another chance to play through the game and defeat all the curses!
We are offering 1 hour Wizard Kittens game slots this Thursday - Sunday (between 12 - 4pm EST). Tickets are just $2 so get them while they last!
