Huzzah!
Thanks for all of your amazing support Wizard Kittens is now funded! We are thrilled to bring these adorable kittens to life, and we can’t wait for you all to help banish those curses!
We’ve been talking about Wizard Kittens for a long time. Ophelia, the kitty model for Cinder, has been the unofficial Magpie Games mascot since our very first crowdfunding campaign back in 2011. Here’s a picture of her we posted for that campaign eight years ago, when she decided that we needed some help shipping out tokens for the game.

Ophelia is very happy to see the Wizard Kittens campaign do so well. And she’s glad we have such good taste in kitten models too. We'll post a bit more about her later in the campaign.
Extra Credit: More Cards to Unlock
But the campaign is just getting started! We have some amazing rewards to unlock, and we need your help! Check out our Extra Credit section on the main page and help unlock extra goodies throughout the campaign. Here’s a few things you can do RIGHT NOW:
In addition to all these sharing and liking goals, we’re also excited to hear more about your kittens too. We’re looking for 10 pics of secret wizard kittens, 10 pics of kittens casting spells, 10 pics of puppers who want to be wizards… and a whole lot more! Accomplishing these goals will unlock new cards for the Kickstarter Exclusive pack, including new character cat cards, new curses, and new monster cards!

Your support has unlocked our first Extra Credit Achievement, and along with it, a new Kickstarter Exclusive Reward!
New Reward!
To determine which reward you unlocked—a new wizard kitten character mat? A new monster card?—we have used an incredibly scientific process. We let Ophelia, kitty model for Cinder and unofficial Magpie mas-cat, decide.
So now, we’ll be adding a New Curse & Chaos Cat Rule to the Kickstarter Exclusive Pack of cards that everyone who pledges at least $20 will receive!
And we’re still heading towards plenty more rewards! As you can see in the video above, Ophi was quite excited to pick a SECOND reward, so it’s on us to let her choose!

Here we are, just about 15 hours short of a full week into the Wizard Kittens Kickstarter, and we’re still going strong, thanks to you all! We have a new Kickstarter Exclusive Reward—our second—and we’re right on the cusp of a third!
New Reward!
Just like before, we have outsourced the determination of which reward you’ve unlocked to a wise, competent, and mildly hungry authority. We gave the final decision to Ophelia, kitty model for Cinder and unofficial Magpie mas-cat. Here you can watch the moment of determination, when she juggles a lot of complicated factors to make the call:
And there you have it! Ophelia’s hungry stomach has spoken, and the second reward will be a new Monster Card!
These Monster Cards are designed to be used instead of/alongside the regular Curse Cards, and will add all new conditions to the game, increasing Wizard Kittens’s options and variability. Plus, they’ll all feature REALLY CUTE MAGICAL MONSTERS, so what else could you need to know?
What’s more, we’ve unlocked 4 total social stretch goals—1 more and you unlock a whole other reward! Here are some that are pretty close that you could help with!
We’re close to our goal for our count of shares on Facebook and Twitter.

Whoa! Wizard Kittens is magicking our faces off, and it’s all down to human-shaped wizard kitten familiars like you! Thank goodness the kittens have such good familiars, willing to support them all so much. We have a new Kickstarter Exclusive Reward—our third—and we’re still moving strong towards our fourth!
New Reward!
Yet again, we call upon the oracular vision of our unofficial Magpie mas-cat, Ophelia, to choose which reward you have unlocked! Where, oh where, shall her magickal visions lead her? What enchantment shall she bestow upon your Kickstarter Exclusive Reward Pack?
Excelsior! Her nose twitches, her paws pad forward, and her mouth noms. The new reward is chosen—another New Monster Card!

More Social Stretch Goals Accomplished!
Speaking of getting the word out… we’ve almost unlocked another reward through social stretch goals! We’ve reached 250 campaign shares and 100 hearts on BGG, which puts us at nine out of ten social stretch goals needed to unlock the next reward (and get Ophelia another treat)!

Purrista Pawfee
It turns out we’re not the only folks on Kickstarter who love cute wizard cats. Our fellow Kickstarter creator Holly Guenther is working on her newest cat plushie for her Purrista Pawfee line of adorable coffee (and tea!) themed cats.
Like meowgical kitties? Meet the Dark Roast, an original design by Kimchi Kawaii! Dark Roast is the latest in the Purrista Pawfee family of coffee themed cats. This is Kimchi Kawaii's 11th solo Kickstarter and it funded in just under 10 hours. However, they would like to fund the stretch goals as well. Peppurrmint Mocha is already unlocked, but they have less than a week to fund Cold Mew (a hipster siamese kitty), Gingercat Latte and Sprinkle Mewcaron. The campaign ends soon (Thursday, March 21)!
We aren’t kitten-ing around when we say that this week has been a-meow-zing! We are so excited to see the campaign do so well after the first week, and we’re so thrilled that all of you are excited about these kittens.
