We have some awesome news! The kittens are IN THE BUILDING! Read on to hear more about our shipping plans now that we’ve gotten our shipment of Wizard Kittens!
Wizard Kittens Have Arrived!
After a lengthy voyage, the kittens have finally made it to our warehouse! They traveled first by sea, then by train, and finally by truck. You all funded so many kittens that we had to rent a special forklift to get all them unloaded into our warehouse! Meeow!
All of the games and expansions and plushies arrived perfectly intact! The games look amazing—thanks, Panda Game Manufacturing!—and the plushies are very cute! We’re still waiting on the card sleeves, which are coming in a separate shipment, but we have everything else we need to start shipping.
Let’s Ship Some Kittens!
We’ve got extra help in our warehouse and a strong shipping plan to send out the 4,000 packages, so keep your ears perked up! Here are a few things to keep in mind while you wait for your kittens to arrive:
- We’re going to lock all addresses in Backerkit in 48 hours. This is your LAST CHANCE to update your shipping address. You should have already received an email from Backerkit telling you that you’ve got 48 hours left!
- If you have not filled out your Backerkit, we won’t send you a package. Please remember to go in and fill out your address and pay for shipping! You can always go to https://wizard-kittens.backerkit.com/ to retrieve your login.
- Our system may generate a tracking number for domestic packages long before those packages ship out to you. We have to generate large batches of shipping labels at one time, and there may be a delay between when your label is generated and when your package goes in the mail. Please be patient with us while we get all these kittens in the mail.
- We are still waiting on the card sleeves, which should arrive soon. In the meantime, we’re going to ship out all the packages that don’t have sleeves since there are so many packages to ship!
- Finally, we are still waiting for word from our reshippers about international packages. The shipments from the factory should be arriving soon, so we’ll post again when international packages start going out to the EU/AU/CA. Everything else will come from our warehouse in Albuquerque, NM, so those packages will go out as soon as we get to them.

Shipping Charges & Address Confirmation!

Good news, cool-cats! Wizard Kittens is almost here, and we’re going to finalize shipping! Read on for details…
Shipping Dates
After much back and forth with the factory, we finally have word that everything is on a boat! We’ve been waiting and waiting for months to try to give you all a firm date, but delays caused by COVID-19 meant that it was hard to tell you all anything concrete…. until now.
Wizard Kittens and all your goodies should arrive in our warehouse (and with our reshippers) in late July. That means we are ready to confirm your orders and charge for shipping and your rewards should be at your door in mid-August!
Paying for Shipping
Now that the kitties are on their way to our warehouse, it’s time to pay for shipping! We’re using Backerkit to complete this process:
- If you added on anything to your order or upgraded your pledge, you don’t have to do anything! We’ve assigned the shipping charges to your order, and we’ll bill the card on file on July 13th. (You can login to Backerkit to see the charges and confirm your card, if you like!)
- If you did not add anything to your order or upgrade your pledge, you’ll need to resubmit your Backerkit and pay the shipping charges. We’ve unlocked all these orders, so you should have an email from Backerkit with a link to login. If you don’t, you can always visit https://wizard-kittens.backerkit.com/ to retrieve your login. Cards will be charged on Monday, July 13th.
If you are a retailer, we’ve arranged for you to be able to pay for shipping directly in Backerkit! If you need advanced shipping, please see below.

Advanced Shipping
All of our domestic orders automatically come with tracking info, but our international orders will be sent through our reshippers in Australia, Canada, and the EU or through the FedEx International Mail Service (FIMS). Neither our reshippers nor FIMS can provide tracking numbers, but they are the most reliable, cost-effective way to get packages to international backers!
If you are an international backer who wants to opt into advanced shipping, fill out your Backerkit as above and then fill out this form. Advanced shipping comes with tracking numbers through Fed Ex or USPS, but it is more expensive and may incur customs/VAT charges.

As many people move their gaming groups to digital platforms during the pandemic, we are happy to announce the release of Wizard Kittens on Tabletopia. The best part? You and your friends can play Wizard Kittens today!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Tabletopia, it’s a digital sandbox that allows you and your friends to play card and board games just like you would at a table. You can shuffle Professor Whispurr into the deck, move around your spell tokens, zoom in to read Chaos Cat’s new rule, and score your kittens’ victories!
Tabletopia is offering the following content:
- 2 player core game (free)
- 3-4 player core game (premium subscription)
- 3-4 player core game + Magical Monsters Expansion (premium subscription)
Anyone can create an account and play the two-player version for free! If you’d like to play the full game and the expansion, you can subscribe to their premium service (roughly $5-10/mo) and play Wizard Kittens and a bunch of other awesome board game titles.

Mass Production Copy & Boats

Wizard kitten aficionados! Some news as we draw closer to delivery!
Printing Update
We got a new MPC—mass-production copy—of the Wizard Kittens boxes and it’s the last step along the road to final print copies!
We are thrilled with how these final copies of the game have come together! Magical kittens have their paws all over this one and the final product is as cute and beautiful as it could be! We were able to catch a few issues and upgrade some packaging components in time to send it all to you, and we know you are all going to love it!
Shipping Dates
We are currently working with Panda to get the products printed and shipped on boats from their factory in China. Once the games and goodies are on the boat we will have all backers pay for shipping and update their addresses. These magical kittens will be in your paws as soon as possible!
Due to the backlog of projects at the Panda facilities, it looks like the games should make it onto boats in early June. We’ve pushed as hard as we can for this process to go faster, but the backlog is still significant and they are working as hard as they can. Soon!!

Coronavirus & Printing Delays (part 2)

Wizard Kitten friends! As expected, things are moving forward...slowly.
Coronavirus & Printing Delays
Sadly, the coronavirus is still impacting much of our operations and those of our printer, Panda. They have reopened their factories in China, but they are moving extra carefully to ensure that they don’t have another outbreak. They will be ramping up production, but everything is going to be slower than usual for the next few months.
That said, we expect that Wizard Kittens will be shipped from China in May and our current estimate for delivering the game to backers is still June 2020. We will definitely keep you all updated when we have more to share, including when the games make it on a boat!
As ever, we and our partners at Panda are still dedicated to making sure we are doing everything we can to get your games to you as soon as possible while also staying safe. Thanks for your patience!
Wizard Kittens at GAMA trade show
Last month we brought Wizard Kittens to GAMA trade show! We got a chance to demo and show off the game to retailers and distributors from across the globe.
The reception was magical, fuzzy, and warm. It was a thrill to show off the game your support helped create, and to get the opportunity to meet some of our retail backers!
